Presentation
An abandoned factory as the scenery ; movie and TV specialists ; a common
will to unite the films of the world… and the KREMLIN FESTIVAL was
born !
To discover others through their own eyes and dedicate a whole day to
each cultural influence, is the focal point chosen by the KREMLIN FESTIVAL
to show films with another dimension.
Investigation of the space
To receive the festival’s programme, the venue will be separated
into different areas representing different worlds and recreating the atmosphere
of their culture :
- Open projection rooms enabling to wander around with total freedom ,
- Author-public meeting lounges decorated so as to represent the diversity
of the world,
- Surprising areas where the factory’s remains (fridges, sausage
dryers, etc.) and the exhibit’s of the artist’s around the
theme of « culture and cinema » will cohabitate,
- In the evenings, live shows will wander through the venue to present
another influence of the continent represented.
Cultures = languages
- The films will be presented in their original language and subtitled
in french.
- For meetings with foreign authors, translators will be available to enable
a friendly exchange between them and the french speaking audience.
Multiple screenings during 24h
- Multiple screening places enable to reserve one or several rooms to
each genre : fiction (police, comical, drama, musical, etc.), animation,
documentary, advert, clip and video trial.
- Diffusion in digital video offers a high visual and sound quality,
and, moreover, enables an original concept of programming : in each room,
the films will be presented in 2 hour cycles, renewed every 24 hours with
the presentation of a new continent. In this way, the audience can arrive
at whatever hour it wishes and be certain of seeing the programme of a
particular genre in its entirety or the film which particularly interests
them.
An "in" festival and an "off" festival
In order to offer a large choice of present day international productions,
the programme won’t limit itself to the festival’s selection itself
(competing films : « in » festival).
The KREMLIN FESTIVAL organises the « off » festival itself with
a series of quality films for the audience to discover and appreciate.
Friendly exchanges
The festival will be a place of exchange :
- In lounges representing the worlds diversity through their decoration
and food ???, friendly encounters will be organised with authors or commentators
of all cultures.
- A film market will enable authors, producers and distributors –invited
in large numbers- to meet.
